1.1 "We", "us", and "our" refer to Paragon Tax Group Ltd.
1.2 "You" and "your" refer to the individual(s) agreeing to these terms.
1.3 "Payment" refers to any refund issued by HMRC, including amounts used to settle outstanding tax liabilities and any interest accrued.
1.4 "Services" refers to the services provided by Paragon Tax Group Ltd, which include but are not limited to: submitting claims to HMRC such as Tax Returns, Marriage Allowance applications, and annual tax reviews.
1.5 "Terms" means the contents of this agreement, which, upon your signature or digital confirmation, legally authorise Paragon Tax Group Ltd to act on your behalf in all matters concerning HMRC claims.
2.1 We commit to acting in your best interest and in compliance with all legal obligations. Our aim is to secure any eligible tax refund.
2.2 Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, our responsibility does not extend to ongoing financial planning or assessing your future financial status.
2.3 You are responsible for providing accurate information. Providing incorrect information may result in HMRC pursuing unpaid tax from you.
2.4 You must submit your bank details and anti-money laundering documents prior to receiving any payment.
2.5 A contract is established when you agree to our Terms and click "Submit" on our website to complete an application or approve any tax-related document.
2.6 This confirmation constitutes a legal agreement.
2.7 Confirmation does not obligate us to proceed unless aligned with these Terms.
2.8 Once confirmed, both parties are bound by these Terms and the associated services begin.
3.1 Our services include, but are not limited to:
Advising on overpaid tax, job expenses, marriage allowance, and savings interest
3.2 We rely on the information you provide as accurate and complete. Notify us promptly of any changes.
3.3 The scope of services may evolve through written agreement.3.4 You must provide honest instructions and fully cooperate with us.
4.1 Unless you instruct otherwise, communication will be by post to your home address, or occasionally by phone or email.
5.1 If your claim is rejected, no fee is payable.
6.1 We aim to provide outstanding service. Complaints may be directed to [email protected].
6.2 We will address your complaint promptly and fairly.
7.1 We will collect and process personal data in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
7.2 By agreeing to these terms, you consent to:

7.3 We will disclose third-party access details upon written request.
8.1 We will not share your information without consent, unless required by law or regulatory bodies.
9.1 We accept liability up to the amount of our service fees for direct losses caused by our negligence.
9.1.1 We are not liable for economic losses, loss of data, or indirect losses.
9.1.2 We are not liable for losses caused by false or incomplete information from you.
9.1.3 Our liability is limited to direct negligence and excludes tort and contract claims beyond the agreed scope.
9.2 Nothing excludes liability for fraud or legal exceptions.
10.1 Our standard fee is 40% plus VAT (currently 48%) of the refund, or £42 (incl. VAT), whichever is greater.
10.2 No refund = no fee.
10.3 If your refund is below £42, our fee equals the refund.
10.4 Multiple refunds in a 12-month tax year are aggregated for fee purposes.
10.5 If HMRC pays us directly, we deduct our fee before forwarding the balance.
10.6 If you receive the refund, we will invoice you directly.
10.7 Fees apply for any claim submitted before cancellation.
10.8 An admin fee of up to £60 (inc. VAT) applies for unrelated payments.
10.9 Replacement cheques may incur a £36 (inc. VAT) admin fee.
10.10 Legal recovery may be pursued for unpaid fees, including referral to debt collection.
10.11 We may run ID and anti-fraud checks before payment.
10.12 You have 6 months from cheque issuance to report issues.
10.13 Refunds unclaimed after 6 months may be retained.
10.14 Incorrect bank details provided by you are your responsibility.
10.15 We may charge 4% above Barclays Bank base rate on overdue fees.
11.1 We will carry out our services with care and diligence.
11.2 We will act in a timely manner.
11.3 We only claim tax refunds within the UK.
11.4 You may be subject to anti-money laundering checks.
11.5 We are not responsible for returning original documents.
11.6 We are not liable for HMRC penalties unless caused by our negligence.
11.7 HMRC communications sent directly to you remain your responsibility.
11.8 We are not responsible for HMRC’s tax assessments.
12.1 No third party may enforce any part of this agreement under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
13.1 Continuing instructions confirm acceptance of these Terms.
13.2 We may update these Terms in writing.
13.3 Either party may terminate in writing at any time.
13.4 If you cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period but before an offer/rejection is received, a flat fee is due.
13.5 If you cancel after an offer is received, full fees apply.
13.6 You have 14 days from agreement to cancel at no cost.
13.7 Work can commence immediately if you instruct so in writing.
13.8 If we request documents and do not receive them within 28 days, we may assume termination and pursue applicable fees.
14.1 If any clause is deemed unenforceable, the remainder remains valid.
15.1 This document constitutes the full agreement between you and us.
16.1 This agreement is governed by English and Welsh law.
16.2 Any disputes shall be handled in the Courts of England and Wales.
17.1 You agree that we may take more than 30 days to complete the contract due to its nature.
